Azam Khodayari – Athletics (Discus Throw)

Azam Khodayari took up wheelchair racing at the beginning of her blossoming career in 1997. Eyeing worldwide success and glory, she changed her sport and began athletics after a while and was called up to the national squad in 2003. A year later, Azam Khodayari represented Iran at the Athens 2004 Paralympic Games and won a historic bronze as the only woman from Iran to win a medal in athletics.
