Iran men’s Goalball qualified for the Paris 2024 Paralympic
Games by winning the title of the 2023 IBSA Goalball Asia/Pacific Championships.
Team Iran’s Goalball celebrates its fourth Paralympic
appearance at Paris 2024.
Paris 2024 event program
A total of 96 Goalball players in 16 teams,
including 8 men’s and 8 women’s team, will compete at the South Paris Arena,
within Paris Expo, from 29 August – 5 September.
Group stages are scheduled for 29
August – 1 September, followed by the knock-out stages from 2-4 September.
The competition will reach its climax
with the men’s and women’s medal matches on 5 September.
Iran men’s
goalball schedule
In preliminary round- Pool A, Iran's
men will face Paris 2024 host nation France at their opening match of the on
the second day of the competition (29 Aug) at 13:15 (CET).
On 30 August, Team Iran will also
meet the reigning Paralympic champions, Brazil at 17:30.
Team Melli will play against the USA
in its final group match on 1 September at 13:15.

Goalball will be staged at South
Paris Arena along with Para table tennis and boccia. The venue is located

Iran men’s
Goalball have appeared at three Paralympic Games.
Seoul
1988
Iran sent six VI players to the Paralympic Games at Seoul 1988, for the first time.
A total of
127 (86 men and 41 women) from 15 nations competed at the games.
Beijing
2008
Beijing 2008
was the second Paralympic appearance of Iran men’s Goalball.
The squad
ranked ninth in medal table.

2012
Iranian Goalballers stood fifth place at their last
