Iran’s Para Swimming secured two Paralympic berths for Paris 2024 Games.
The squad also celebrates its third
Paralympic appearance at the Paris 2024 Games.

Para Swimming at the 2024 Summer
Paralympics in Paris, France will take place between 29 August and 7 September
2024 and a total of 605 athletes (325 male and 280 female) are set to compete
in the La Defense Arena swimming pool.
The Venue
Paris La Défense Arena in Nanterre is
a truly exceptional facility in terms of its scale, capacity and technology:
13km of stands, a 5,500-tonne framework, and 28,632 sqm of courts and pitches.
While this venue has already welcomed more than two million spectators since it
opened, with performances from leading international artists, conventions and
seminars, as well as staging the rugby matches of Racing 92, in 2024 it will
host swimming events for the very first time.

Iran’s Para Swimming made its Paralympic
debut at London 2012.
*Shahin Izadyar was the first Iranian
Para swimmer who attended at Paralympic Games in London. He stood eighth place in final round
of Men's 100 m Breaststroke SB9.
Rio 2016
Shahin Izadyar represented Team Iran’s
Swimming at Paralympic Games, for the second time in Rio 2016.
Izadyar finished in eighth in Men's
100 m Breaststroke SB9.
