The Iranian team consists of Sareh Javanmardi, Alieh Mahmoudi, Samira Eram, Masoumeh Khodabakhshi and Mahdi Zamani.
“Our shooters will participate in the international event as part of their preparations for the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games. Six months ahead of the 2016 Paralympic Games, we will hold six 12-day training camps to prepare well for the competition,” Roghieh Allahkarami, head of Iranian Shooting Association for Disabled, told Paralympic.ir.
The International Shooting Competition of Hannover 2016 will be held in junior and senior sections while the Iranian representatives will only partake at the senior level.
Hossein Amiri will coach the shooters in the tournament.
Iran took part at the 2012 Paralympic Games with two shooters.
