Iran will participate at the IPC Athletics Asia-Oceania Championships with 30 athletes.
The Iranian delegation consists of 23 men athletes and seven women competitors.
“We’ve booked 10 quota places so far in the Doha 2015 IPC Athletics World Championships last year. We will not compete with our best athletes in the competition in Dubai,” Ali-Asghar Hadizadeh, head of Iranian Athletic Association for Disabled, told Paralympic.ir.
The Iranian delegation will leave Tehran for competition on Friday.
The 2016 IPC Athletics Asia-Oceania Championships will be held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, from March 6 to 12.
The competition will attract 248 athletes from 26 countries in the Dubai Police Club as they make a bid to qualify for the upcoming Games in Brazil in September.
At the 2012 Paralympic Games, Iranian athletes claimed five gold, five silver and three bronze medals.
