Masoud Ashrafi was elected as the new Secretary General of Iran National Paralympic Committee (NPC) on Wednesday.
In the14th General Assembly of I.R. Iran NPC that was held at the Iran's Sports Federation for the Disabled (IRISFD) Headquarters, Ashrafi was elected as the Secretary General of I.R. Iran National Paralympic Committee after winning 45 votes of 48 votes.
Alireza Hosseini and Aliasghar Hassanzadeh withdrew from the election in favor of Ashrafi.
Ashrafi took charge of the role until 2020.
Masoud Ashrafi’s first term of office at this position, ended after the 2008 Paralympic Games in Beijing.
Two deputies of Ministry of Sports & Youth, I.R. Iran NOC Secretary General, Deputy of Education Minister as well as the Head of I.R. Iran Welfare Organization attended the Assembly.
During the Assembly, the attending members and officials appreciated Mr. Amir Mandegarfard, the former NPC Secretary General, for his great efforts during his term of office.
