Iran traveled to Denmark on Tuesday to take part at the 2016 International Federation for Cerebral Palsy Football (IFCPF) World Championship Qualification Tournament.
The tournament will kick off on Friday in Vejen, Denmark.
A qualification tournament is being held to decide who will compete in the 2017 IFCPF World Championships.
The competition will bring about 250 athletes from 13 countries, namely Denmark, Iran, Australia, Canada, Finland, Germany, Japan, Northern Ireland, Portugal, South Korea, Scotland, Spain and Venezuela together.
It is the first time a qualification tournament is being held without the top eight teams (all competing at the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games) taking part, Paralympic.org wrote.
The teams have been divided into four groups.
The Iranian team has been drawn into Group C along with Germany and Northern Ireland.
