Mohammad Khalvandi snatched Iranian delegation’s third gold medal at the 2016 Paralympic Games on Monday.
The Iranian claimed a gold medal in the Men's Javelin Throw - F57 with a throw of 46.12m.
His countryman Abdollah Heidari won the silver medal, throwing 43.77m.
Bronze medal went to Vietnamese athlete Hung Ngoc with 43.27m.
Iran’s Sareh Javanmardi and Majid Farzin have already won two gold medals at women’s 10m air pistol SH1 and -80kg powerlifting.
Iran has participated at the 2016 Summer Paralympics with 111 athletes in 12 sports.
The Iranian delegation finished in 11th place in the previous edition, winning 10 gold medals, seven silvers and seven bronze medals.
