Iranian striker of football 5-a-side Behzad Zadaliasghari has revealed that he will announce his retirement in the World Sight Day 2016.

Zadaliasghari, dubbed Iranian blind Messi, scored an astonishing Lionel Messi style goal at the Rio Paralympics in the blind football tournament, where the Iranian team beat Morocco 2-0.

“Iran football 5-a-side will play a friendly match with Iranian actors’ team on October 13. I want to announce my retirement to give place to the young players. I am satisfied with what I have done in the national team,” Zadaliasghari said.

“I am 28-year-old and play at Turkey’s Kayserispor but I will hang up my shoes at 30. I am going to be an actor with no experience,” he added.

Iran blind football team lost to Brazil in the 2016 Rio Paralympic Games final and finished in second place.

“You can't imagine how difficult it must be to play Brazil in front of their fans but we could have won the match,” Zadaliasghari concluded.
