Iran’s first International Skiing championship kicks off in Dizin and Darband Sar in Tehran. In the upcoming competitions 27 skiers from Iran, Armenia and Romania are to compete for medals. This international skiing championship features races in alpine skiing with 15 skiers and snowboard skiing with 7 skiers. In addition, 5 Iranian skiers will compete in both alpine and snowboard skiing.

Snowboard competitions will be held on January 3rd and 4th and a snowboard refereeing and classification course will be delivered from January 2nd to 5th by Dmitry Lazarovski, IPC winter sport manager.
In the run-up to alpine races, there is going to be an alpine refereeing and classification course on 6 of January. Alpine skiing competitions will be held on January 8. A skiing competition will take place for abled-bodies skiers on January 10.
