The Paralympics’ tallest ever competitor Morteza Mehrzad says that Bosnia and Herzegovina will seek revenge against Iran’s sitting volleyball team.
Iran defeated Paralympic title holder 3-1 in Rio de Janeiro after suffering a 3-1 loss to the European team in London 2012 Paralympic Games.
Mehrzad, who has been one of Iran’s key players in the past two years, says that Bosnia and Herzegovina is ready to take revenge against Iran in the 2018 Sitting World Championships in the Netherlands.
“Iran and Bosnia are the world’s most powerful teams and they are favorite to win each tournament. Bosnia will participate in the world championships to revenge against us, however we are seeking the title in the tournament,” Mehrzad told Paralympic.ir.
“Our coaches will inject fresh talent into the team to maintain supremacy in the world. I think we have a bright future ahead of us,” the Paralympic gold medalist added.
