TEHRAN - Two-time Paralympic gold medallist, Zahra Nemati, says that para-archery has a bright future in Iran.
The Para-archer, who was chosen to be the flag-bearer for Iran at Olympic Games opening ceremony in Rio, became the first Iranian woman to win a gold in either the Olympics or Paralympics.
Nemati won a gold medal in Women's individual recurve W1/W2 in London 2012 Paralympic Games and defended her medal four years later in Rio.
“I’ve recovered from injury I suffered in Rio. I am going to return to my best form for the upcoming challenges and I am happy to see my friends,” Nemati told Paralympic.ir.
“I believe that para-archery has a bright future in Iran and our athletes have improved so much. I have no doubt the Iranian archers will shine in the World Archery Para Championships which will be held in Beijing, China in September,” she added.
