On Tuesday, Hamed Amiri competed in the men's shot put F53 event at the Dubai Club for the Disabled in Dubai, and recorded a throw of 11.20 meters to snatch the gold medal.
Zafar Zaker, another Iranian representative, managed to earn silver in the men's shot put F55 category, having thrown the shot 8 meters and 81 centimeters.
Additionally, Alireza Mahmoudi and Abdulnabi Nawaser picked up two bronze medals in the men’s shot put F54 and F44 classifications, Press TV reported.
Hashem Rastegari got the bronze medal in the men’s B2 200-meter dash.
In the women's javelin throw F34 division, Iranian pitcher Faezeh Kermani earned the bronze medal with her best effort of 16.71 meters on Tuesday.
Earlier in the tournament, Iranian athletes Mehdi Oulad, Hakimeh Goudarzi and Rahman Zamani had respectively earned a gold, a silver and bronze medal.
The 10th edition of Fazza International Athletics Championships – Dubai 2018 World Para Athletics Grand Prix started on March 13 and will run through March 16.
