Iran’s Chef de Mission: We anticipate to finish Tokyo Paralympics with 28 medals
Hadi Rezaei confirmed 62 athletes with 28 medal prospects will represent Iran at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games.

 

With the long-awaited Tokyo 2020 around the corner and the clock ticking down to the opening ceremony of this pandemic-delayed event, NPC Iran held a press conference for the local media and reporters at the NPC’s headquarters on Sunday. During this conference, a number of questions on Iranian delegation for the upcoming Paralympic Games were answered by Hadi Rezaei, Team Iran Chef de Mission.

“We anticipate to win 28 medals at Tokyo Paralympics and finish 10th in the final standing,” said Hadi Rezaei. “63 athletes will represent Team Iran at the upcoming Paralympics, and Farzaneh Asgari from shooting has also the opportunity to be called up to the national squad with regard to her recent performance.” The Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games will be delivered with 537 events across 22 sports from 24 August to 5 September 2021.
