Iran's sitting volleyball players, wheelchair basketballers, judokas, powerlifters, shooters, archers along with cycling and athletics representatives were sent to Tokyo.
With less than a week to go until Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games, the first and biggest Paralympic group from Iran were sent to Tokyo and settled into the Village after following the COVID-19 protocols at Narita Airport.
The first group include sitting volleyball, wheelchair basketball, judo, powerlifting, archery and athletics along with the NPC officials.
Iran’s cyclist representative and shooting team were respectively sent to Tokyo on August 20th and 22nd as the second and third group of Paralympians.
Iran will compete in 10 of the 22 Paralympic sports in Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games which will be delivered with 537 events from 24 August to 5 September 2021.
