Iranian Paralympians made day 5 an unforgettable day by acing the event. It all started with Farzaneh Asgari beating representative of Spain in Individual Compound. Later in athletics, Alireza Mokhtari took home a silver in Shotput F53 with 8.48 m.
Iranian judokas Vahid Nouri and Mohammadreza kheirollahzadeh claimed the -90 kg and +100 kg title respectively, and raised the gold medal count for I.R. Iran delegation to three.
Day 5 was wrapped up by Seyed Hamed Solhipour winning his first Paralympic medal after lifting 222 kg and stood second after China’s Yan with 227 kg.
