On day 7, Iran’s female Paralympians aced the event by securing two gold.
Team Iran had a historic day 5 in Tokyo where Sareh Javanmardi captured her third Paralympic gold in the P2 - Women's 10m Air Pistol SH1 after besting Turkey and Hungary and shattering the world record with 239.2 points at the Asaka Shooting Range.
A few kilometers away at the Tokyo Olympic Stadium, Hashemieh Motaghian made it more historic by winning another gold medal in athletics in the women's javelin F55. Motaghian did 22.94 m and 22.98 m on her first and second throw, respectively. She broke the world record on her third record with 24.50 m and celebrated her first Paralympics gold.
Team Iran wrapped up day 7 with Ramezan Biabani’s silver medal in the men’s individual compound at the Yumenoshima Park Archery Field.
