Iran’s three-time Paralympics gold medalist Zahra Nemati was lauded on the 187th session of NPC Iran Governing Board.
After her successful performance at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games and taking home the individual recurve gold, Zahra Nemati was elected the new member of IPC Athletes’ Council by the Paralympians’ votes and is due to serve for three years up until the next Games in Paris in 2024.
Further to that, Nemati was also voted the member of Para Archery Committee of World Archery Federation in the 54th congress of World Archery.
Earlier this year, Zahra Nemati was recognized with the Next Generation Leader Award on International Women’s Day, by the IPC, for using her voice and platform to demonstrate what women with impairments can achieve. She received her award on the 187th session of the governing board.
