NPC Iran symbolically celebrated 14th National Paralympic Day at the National Olympic and Paralympic Academy on October 16th.
The 14th National Paralympic Day was symbolically delivered at the IR Iran National Olympic & Paralympic Academy today on October 16th. This ceremony, which was participated by NPC Iran President, Mahmoud Khosravi Vafa, IR Iran Ministry of Sports, IR Iran NOC President and other stakeholders, was kicked off at 10 am (Tehran local time) by Para athletes marching at the beginning. Afterwards, Mohammad Tabe, NPC Iran CEO, welcomed the participants, and Zahra Nemati, Iran’s three-time Paralympics gold medalist, recited the message of National Paralympic Day as the representative of the Iranian Paralympians. The ceremony was finally wrapped up with Dr. Hamid Sajadi, IR Iran minister of sports and youth visiting Para athletes and Paralympians.
National Paralympic Day was first celebrated in 2003 and later in 2016 it was included in the National Calendar by a Presidential order.
