Iran’s canoeists and powerlifters began their training camps in January.
Over the weekend, Iran’s canoeists returned to Tehran for a three-week training camp in Azadi Sport Complex to get prepared for the Asian Games ahead in China, Hangzhou. This camp made its debut on January 10th and is due to last until February 1st. the second round of prep camps is attended by all members of the national squad including Shahla Behroozi Rad and Eslam Jahedi, Iran’s Tokyo 2020 Paralympians.
Para powerlifters are also back on the stage from January 14th to begin the first Hangzhou 2022 Asian Para Games training camp. 14 athletes are invited to this three-week camp including Iran’s Tokyo 2020 Paralympics medalists Roohollah Rostami, Amir Jafari, Hamed Solhipour and Saman Razi.
Last, Iran’s wheelchair basketball team is going to begin the second camp from January 20th in Mazandaran with 18 athletes.
The Hangzhou 2022 Asian Para Games are set to run from 9-15 October 2022 in China.
