October 13th- The fourth day of Iran National Paralympic Week (NPW) has been named as the Paralympic Movement and Families.
Family members typically have the biggest impact on whether a child with a disability participates in sport.
To highlight the major role of families, Iran NPC is trying to draw the attention of families to Paralympic Movement, enrich their knowledge on para sports and remark their positive impacts on the health of children with disabilities.
Through the educational workshops and media coverage on the issue, it is expected that the children and youth with disabilities to receive more support from their families when they plan to engage in sports.
The 2022 National Paralympic Week has been kicked off from October 10th across all the provinces of Iran. It is expected that more than 60,000 people to participate in the several programs and ceremonies in county.
The weekly events will be concluded on 16 October with the celebrations of the National Paralympic Day.
