Iran national men's sitting volleyball
team defeated Iraq 3-0 in the 2022 World Sitting Volleyball Championships
opening match on Friday (November 4).
Iran's national men's sitting volleyball
team won the first set 25-11, the second one 25-17, and the 3rd set 25-15 to
emerge the winner of their first match.
The Iranian men’s sitting volleyball team
will face Kazakhstan’s national team in its second match.
Iranian men’s and women’s teams are
competing for the world titles in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina from Nov. 4
to 11. Team Melli draws along Iraq, Kazakhstan and Croatia in Pool B. Bosnia
and Herzegovina, the U.S., Japan and Serbia are in Pool A. Pool C consists of
Brazil, Germany, Canada and Poland. Egypt, Ukraine, Rwanda and the Netherlands
are in Pool D.
The top two teams will qualify for the
2024 Paralympic Games.
