Iranian Nasrin Shahi Samakhoun finished Second at P2 - women's 10m air pistol SH1 finals and secured a Paris 2024 quota for Iran.
In a thrilling P2 final, Turkish para shooter Woth Ozgan finished with 233.1 for the gold medal followed by Iranian Nasrin Shahi on 230.9 points. Iran's Nasrin Shahi and Hungary's Krisztina David - were tied in a shoot-off, with David settling for a bronze at the Al Ain 2022 World Championships.
Turkish and Hungarian players having already secured Paris 2024 berths, Shahi and Korea's Aeekyung Moon, who finished fourth, secured the quotas for the respective countries in the category.
This was Nasrin Shahi’s first medal and participation at the World Championships.
Iran’s national team has participated in the World Shooting Para Sport Championship from November 3.
In the previous days, Abdolreza Tavasolikhah won silver medal at the Men’s Para-Trap final and Roghayeh Shojaei also ranked eighth in R2- women's 10m air rifle SH1 finals.
The Al Ain 2022 WSPS World Championships will run until November 17.
