the IRI National Paralympic Committee's Executive Board took place at the NPC
headquarters, today on 3 December.
The meeting was
attended by the Board Members and Mahmoud Khosravi Vafa as Iran NPC's Chairman,
for the last time in his presidency.
In the meeting,
Khosravi Vafa stated: “on the behalf of the National Paralympic Committee, I
would like to express my special thanks to all of our NPC colleagues for
assisting to promote Paralympic Movement in Iran. It gives me great pleasure to
mention that our NPC colleagues have been the best samples of people who are
motivated by their work, during these years."
"As a result of
the growth of the Iran Paralympic Movement during these years, the impact the
Para Sports have on society has significantly increased. I am sure that
movement will advance on its progress towards the perfection", he added.
Presidential elections
of the Iran’s National paralympic Committee (NPC) will be held on Dec. 13.
Mahmoud Khosravi Vafa
has been elected as the new President of the Iran National Olympic Committee
(NOC) and following the election he is now serving as President of both the
Iran NOC and National Paralympic Committee (NPC), having held the NPC post
since 2001.
He has also served as
President of the Iranian Sports Federation for the Disabled since 1981.
