According to the I.R. Iran Sports Federation for the Blind (IRISFB), Iran’s national chess training camp to begin on Jan. 9
A 10-day national chess camp, which will be started
on 9 January 2023, is being organised by the IRISFB, in cooperation with the NPC
Iran for the Men and Women’s squad.
The trainings aim at the preparations of Twenty
blind and visually impaired athletes for the Hangzhou Asian Para Games.
Men invitees are:
Mahdi Roumifard, Omid Karimi, Amir Rabi,
Majid Bagheri, Mohammadreza Alizadeh, Farzad Alizadeh, Seyed Emadeddin Mousavi,
Alireza Ghourchibeigi, Vahid Eslam, Ali Valehi, Meisam Moradian, Rostam Devisti
Mogouei.
Men’s squad will be led by Behrouz Moradi.
Women invitees are:
Malihe Safaei, Fatemeh Rahimi, Atefeh
Naghavi, Maryam Rahimzadeh, Narges Daramd, Fatemeh Barghol, Reyhaneh Babar
Shams, Azam Sadat Mirhashemi, Zahra Rabipour, Leila Zarezadeh, Fahimeh Bazmeh,
Fahimeh Rezaei.
The women squad will be led by coach Shadi
Paridar, the prominent Iranian ex-player who was awarded as the best
female chess trainer by the 44th World Chess Olympiad. Paridar holds the title
of Woman Grandmaster (WGM), who won the Iranian Women Chess Championship four
times. She also won the Asian Under-16 Girls' Championship in 2002 in Tehran.
