Following preparation for the Hangzhou Games, Iranian para canoeists have started their new round of national trainings at the Azadi Sport Complex.
Through the Para Canoe inclusion in the Hangzhou sport
program, there are glimmers of hope for the all the Asian para
canoeists.
Being hopeful of making a successful
debut at the Asian Para Games, the Iranian athletes have also shown a keen interest toward their first asian step.
During different stages of national preparations,
the seven para canoeists have been continued to train intensively across Tehran’s
Azadi Lake, and their camps have been organized by the mutual cooperation of National
Canoe Federation (NCF) and National Paralympic Committee.
The 14th Camp
According to the I.R. Iran NCF, the 14th para canoe camp is running
for both men and women divisions at the Azadi Lake from January 5 to 25, 2023.
The athletes’ trainings are led by
the Brazilian head coach Pedro Sana. He is assisted by Iranian coaches Golnaz
Ghazanfarian, Ahmadreza Talebian and fitness coach Mohsen Milad.

Para-canoe and Para-taekwondo will
make their Asian Para Games debut in Hangzhou. Hangzhou will be the fourth
edition of the Asian Para Games and takes place between October 22 to 28, 2023.
