After three days, the 2023 FIS National Open Para Skiing Championships officially ended on Wednesday with the closing ceremony, attended by the Iran's NPC President.
The third and last day of the competitions were held on Wednesday, 8 February 2023, by the attendance of Dr. Ghafoor Karegari in Tochal resort.
Para Snowboard Results:
In the last day of Para Snowboard event and on the men's side, Iran’s Farhad Alvandi and Hossein Solghani took first and second places, respectively, in the SBL1 category.
Pouria Khaliltash was at the top of the UL podium, followed by Mehrdad Mahdizadeh and Mohammad Mohammadpour.
On the women's side, Iranian Sedigheh Rouzbeh topped the SBL2 podium and Nasim Hasanvand took the first place in the UL category.
The closing and medal distribution ceremonies were held by the presence of Iran's para sports high ranked officials, including NPC president Dr. Ghafoor Karegari accompanied by Saeid Solgi, NPC sports' manager and Abbas Nazarian, the head of IRI National Ski Federation.
Iran's 2023 FIS men's/ women's para skiing open national championships was approved by international ski and snowboard federation.
The competitions took place from 5 to 8 February consisting three events: Para Alpine Skiing, Para Snowboard and Para Nordic. The events featured races by the attendance of Iranian and Armenian para skiers at the Tochal and Shemshak resorts of Iran.
