 The President of NPC Iran Dr. Ghafoor Karegari attended in the closing ceremony of the 2023 Men's National Para Powerlifting Competition

 

Iran's two-day 2023 men's para powerlifting national competition was held from 14 to 16 February in Tehran. The 29th edition of the event saw 85 para powerlifters in action.

Men competed in the ten weight categories; 49kg, 54kg, 59kg, 65kg, 72kg, 80kg, 88kg, 97kg, 107kg and +107kg divisions.
On the behalf of World Para Powerlifting (WPPO), this fundamental competitions attended and supervised by Azzam Al-Zubi, the International Federation (IF) Delegate.

 

Teams' Ranking:

Khouzestan province team topped the podium with 63 points.
The both teams of Tehran A and Kermanshah provinces with the 60 points stood second and third places, respectively.

Men’s referee refresher class

Iranian male national referees attended in a class to refresh their knowledge and keep up-to-date with the application of new rules.

The IF Delegate Azzam Al-Zubi carried out the training. The class was designed not only to re-educate participants about the most current rules of the sport, but also highlight the importance of the responsibility they have to fully understand, and consistently apply, the rules at national and developmental level.
