Iranian delegation left Tehran early Tuesday to participate in the Dubai 2023 World Para Athletics Grand Prix.
Iran’s delegation comprising 22
athletes, 7 coaches and 5 staff left Tehran early Tuesday (21 Feb.) to
participate in the 2023 World Para Athletics Grand Prix, 14th Fazza
International Para Athletics.
The prestigious event will be held in
Dubai, the UAE from 22nd February – 3rd March 2023.
IR Iran representatives at the event
Amir Khosravani,
Hajar Safarzadeh, Khadijeh Abdi, Hasan Bajoulvand, Saman Pakbaz and Fatemeh
Amirzadegani are the six Iranian representatives with blind and
visually impairment in the events who will be led by coaches Aliasghar
Hadizadeh, Zahra Alizadeh and Mashalah Taheri.
The other Iranian squad attended in
the competitions with sixteen para athletes. The team will be led by coaches
Bahman Rezaei, Fatemeh Barmshoori, Zahra Karamzadeh and Ghader Hardani.

The 4-day Competition at the Dubai
Club for the People of Determination
According to the general preliminary competition
schedule, athletes’ classification, pre-event trainings and technical meeting
will be held from 23 to 25, 2023. The 4-day competition will kick off on
Sunday, 26 February. Venue of the 2019 Para Athletics World Championships, the
Dubai Club for the People of Determination will be home to the second Grand
Prix of the 2023 calendar.
The year of 2023 will mark the 10th
anniversary of the World Para Athletics Grand Prix. The season will see events
taking place in six cities across four continents from February to May.
