Dr. Kamal Javanmard, the new NPC chief executive officer of Iran's National Paralympic Committee (NPC), has been appointed Chef de Mission for the 2022 Asian Para Games.
Dr. Kamal Javanmard, who is the newly
appointed CEO of Iran’s National Paralympic Committee, will serve as Iran's
Chef de Mission in Hangzhou.
The president of NPC Iran Dr. Ghafoor Karegari has
appointed Kamal Javanmard as the head of Iranian Delegation for Hangzhou
Asian Para Games.
The Hangzhou 2022 Asian Para Games
Opening Ceremony is scheduled for October 22.
Followed by the Presidential election of Iran National Paralympic Committee, Javanmard also became the NPC's full-time CEO, recently.
Iran will head to Hangzhou on the
back of a record-equaling medals haul at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics.
At the 2018 Asian Para Games in
Jakarta, Iran won 53 gold medals and 136 in total, finishing third on the
medals table for the first time.
