The 18th Blind Football training camp kicks off in Shiraz today.
Iran NPC, Tehran- The 18th round of Blind Football camp commences in
Shiraz province of Iran today on June 25th.
Organized by Iran Sports federation
the Persons with Blind and Vision Impairments and NPC’s partnerships, the 7-day
national camp aims to prepare the 13 invited players for upcoming events, including
World Championships and Hangzhou Asian Para Games.
The squad is training with Head coach
Javad Felfeli and coaches Meisam Shojaeian, Mohammad Mahdi Rafiei and Hossein
Mojahedian until July 2nd.
The athletes at camp are as below:
Mahdi Taleei, Hossein Rajabpour, Kambiz Mohkam,
Ahmadreza Shah Hosseini, Alireza Izadi, Alireza Bakht, Morteza Karimi, Seyed
Saeid Mousavi Pirmoradi, Hojatolah Mazareei, Sadegh Rahimi, Saleh Khesali,
Mohammad Amin Rahimzadeh, Morteza Ramezani.
Being hopeful of making a successful debut at the Asian Para
Games, the Iranian Blind Football Squad has shown a keen interest toward their
first asian step.
The Fourth Asian Para Games will be held in Hangzhou, China from 22 to 28 October 2023.
The Men's and Women's Blind Football World Championships are
set to be held as part of the 2023 International Blind Sports Federation (IBSA)
World Games in Birmingham after the tournaments were rescheduled because of the
impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. The men's Blind Football World Championships
will be a qualifier for the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris.
The Games, due to take place from 18-27 August 2023, will be
held at the University of Birmingham, across the Edgbaston area and wider
region.
