National women’s Goalball players have been called up to the new APG by Head coach Tayebeh Maleki.
Iran NPC, Tehran: With aim of preparing women's squad
for Hangzhou Asian Para Games (APG), the 16th round of national Women's Goalball training
camp will be held at Tehran's Shahid Harandi Sport Complex from September 21 to 29, 2023.
The camp will be run by Iran Sports
Federation for the Persons with a Vision Impairment in association with
National Paralympic Committee, under the lead of head coach Tayebeh Maleki and
coach Arezoo Hajian. Efat Nasri will also accompany the team as S&C coach.
The seven shortlisted athletes for
the camp are as follows:
Rana Niazi, Zahra Eidian, Maryam Hesamabadi, Fatemeh Ghaedi, Vida
Jabarzadeh, Rizan Dezhahang, Masoumeh Malaei.
Iranian
women's Goalball squad came third at the 2018 Asian Para Games.
The
Fourth Edition of APG will take place in Hangzhou, China from October 22 to 28
this year.
