Team Iran at the Fourth Asian Para Games: Women’s Goalball
Iran NPC, Tehran: A total of six athletes with a vision impairment will head to Hangzhou for representing Team Iran in Women's Goalball event of the Fourth Asian Para Games.
Shortlisted athletes are as follows:
Fatemeh Ghaedi, Maryam Hesamabadi, Rizan Dezhahang, Zahra Eidian, Rana Niazi, Masoumeh Malaei.

The competition will take place from 23rd – 27th October.
For both host country teams, the competition venue will be very familiar as it will take place at their training home, the China Goalball Training Base.
In the women’s event, China will be looking to restore their position at the top of the podium, something that they achieved in 2010 and 2014 but lost out in the final to Japan in 2018.
They will be joined by Iran, Japan, Thailand and the Republic of Korea.
