Iranian Goalball players reached to men’s final of the 2023 IBSA Asia-Pacific Championships.
Iran NPC, Tehran: Team Iran defeated
Thailand (8-3) in the men’s semi-final of the 2023 Asia-Pacific Goalball Championships to pave its path for final match in Hangzhou.
Iran and Korea play today (18 Nov.
at 9:15am), for the only slot to Paris 2024 available in the competition and
also for the title of Asian champion at the Zhejiang Tangqi Goalball Training
Base.
Iran had
previously defeated Kazakhstan (10-0), Mongolia (11-1), Korea (9-6), Pakistan (10-0)
and Thailand (8-3) to reach the final.
China and
Thailand will play for the bronze.
The 2023 IBSA Goalball AP Championships is being held in
Hangzhou, China, from 12 to 18 November 2023. The event is in the run for the
last slot for Paris 2024 available for the Asian teams.
