Iranian Maryam Shokouhi Named as the Head of Membership Council of World Abilitysport

Iran NPC, Tehran: Iranian Dr. Maryam Shokouhi elected as the Head of Membership Council of the World Abilitysport at the General Assembly- which was held in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand from December 16-18, 2023. She will remain in charge until 2027.

Shokouhi was also a previous EB member of the International Wheelchair and Amputee Sports Federation.

World Abilitysport has been formed following the merger of the International Wheelchair and Amputee Sports Federation (IWAS) and Cerebral Palsy International Sports and Recreation Association (CPISRA).

World Abilitysport is the International Federation for wheelchair fencing and powerchair hockey. It will become the International Federation for wheelchair dance sport in 2024.
