Iranian Para Taekwondo players returned to the mats from today.

 

Iran NPC, Tehran: A total of 12 players, including six women and six men, have joined a 30-day camp at Iran National Olympic and Paralympic Academy from today, January 6, 2024.

Staged by I.R. Iran Taekwondo Federation (IRITF) in partnership with NPC, the camp aims at preparation of the Para Taekwondoins for upcoming events including the 2024 Asian Qualifier for Paralympic Games and Paris 2024, according to IRITF.

Women’s invitees:

Aylar Haji, Narges Javadi, Leila Mirzaei, Mahdieh Sadat Hosseini, Romina Chamsouraki, Maryam Abdollahpour.

Women’s training sessions will be conducted by head coach Atefeh Keshavarz, and coaches Zahra Hosseini and Zahra Hajivand.


Men's invitees:

Saeid Sadeghianpour, Mahdi Pourrahnama, Hamed Haghshenas, Alireza Bakht, Amir Mohammad Haghighat Shenas, Mohammad Taha Hasanpour.

Men’s team will train with head coach Payam Khanlarkhani, joined by coach Ali Karimi Saber.


The 2024 Asian Qualification Tournament for Paris Paralympic Games will be held in Tai'an City, China on March 17.

Iran’s Team won the title of the Fourth Asian Para Games (APG) with 10 colorful medals including three golds, four silvers and three bronzes. Winning four Golds at the 2023 World Para Taekwondo Grand Prix Final, Iranian Para Taekwondoins have also secured four quota places of Paris Paralympic Games.
