Iran NPC President Dr. Ghafoor Karegary met with the women’s Para Taekwondoins, today.
Iran NPC, Tehran: President Karegary, along with NPC Sports Deputy Dr.
Saeed Solgi visited the second round of women’s Para Taekwondo training camp at
I.R. Iran National Paralympic Academy.
“With my presence here today, I would
like to express our appreciation for your determination and efforts, which is
fundamental to support your team as well as, more in general, to address your
needs” affirmed NPC President during his visit.
The visit was also involved National
Federation’s officials.
National training camp of Para
Taekwondo, which runs in Tehran (from 21 Jan to 14 Mar), is part of the NPC and
IRI Taekwondo Federation program to prepare the athletes for upcoming events
including Paralympic Games.
Four Iranian Para Taekwondoins have
already booked their place at the Paris 2024, and this came after winning four
golds at the 2023 Manchester World Para Taekwondo Grand Prix Final.
Maryam Abdollahpour, Narges Javadi, Aylar
Haji, Mahdieh Sadat Hosseini, Leila Mirzaei and Romina Chamsouraki are training
with head coach Atefeh Keshavarz, assisted by coaches Zahra Hosseini and Zahra
Hajivand.
