Iran’s Minister for Sport and Youth affairs attended the NPC Executive Board (EB) meeting this morning.

EB meeting of National Paralympic Committee, the Minister for Sport and Youth Affairs Kioumars
Hashemi promised more support for the Team Iran in Paris 2024 Paralympic Games,
at the NPC’s headquarters, today on 19 February.
Opening his speech
Iran’s Sport Minister said: “The 2023 was a busy year for our National Paralympic Committee
which featured Hangzhou Asian Para Games and our Paralympic delegation achieved
its best results. And it will be continued by upcoming events including Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, Tashkent 2025 Asian Youth Para Games and Aichi-Nagoya
2026 Asian Para Games. So, we will increase our support for Iran NPC to improve the
Paralympic Movement and Para sports across the country.”
During its
meeting, the Executive Board also heard updates on several topics including the
reports on Paris 2024 Paralympic Games preparations.
The EB later
discussed and agreed on a series of new measures and a clear action plan that supports
the National Cooperative Federations.
The Paris 2024
Paralympic Games will take place between 28 August and 8 September.
