New round of Iran’s Para Athletics training camp starts in Tehran on Sunday.
Iran NPC, Tehran: Ahead of 2024 Para Athletics World Championships, a total of 12 athletes have invited to the fifth round
of national PI Athletics preparation camp, held in Tehran from on May 5, 2024.
Organized by I. R. Iran Sports
Federation for Enabled (IRISFE) in partnership with NPC, the camp is under the
lead of national Team Manager Aliasghar Hadizadeh, assisted by coaches Seyed
Mahdi Shahrokhi, Ezatollah Parnian, Ebrahim Momeni, Fatemeh Barmshouri, Khosro
Rahimizadeh, Zahra Karamzadeh and Mahdi Farsi.
The camp offers focus on Para athletes’
preparation at upcoming events including Kobe 2024 Para Athletics World
Championships and Paris 2024 Games.
Training sessions last until May 13th.
The training camp roster features 12
PI athletes including:
Saeid Afrooz, Yasin Khosravi, Alireza
Mokhtari, Rashid Masjedi, Aliasghar Javanmardi, Hashemiyeh Motaghian, Amanollah
Papi, Elham Salehi, Sadegh Beit Sayah, Zeinab Moradi, Hadi Kaeidi, Hamed Amiri.
Iranian PI Athletics team has also
secured 11 quota places of Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.
The 11th edition of the Para
Athletics World Championships will be held in in Kobe, Japan from 17 to 25 May
2024.
