Iran NPC, Tehran: Iran's four Paracanoers will have their last hit out this weekend before the Paris Paralympic Games at the World Championships in Szeged, Hungary.
For Team Iran's Paracanoe hopefuls, it will be their last chance to book a spot on the plane to Paris, with final qualification for the Games on the line.
Under the lead of head coach Ahmadreza Talebian, the team roster including, Masood Gheisari (Men's KL3), Saeid Hosseinpour (Men's KL1) and Eslam Jahedi (Men's VL2) and also, Shahla Behrouzirad (Women’s KL3) will all be vying for Paralympic qualification.
The 2024 ICF Paracanoe World Championships gets underway on Thursday 9 May through until Sunday 12 May.
The event will see up to four Paris tickets earned in each of the five male and five female Paralympics medal events. Only athletes who have not yet won a quota will be eligible.
