Iran adds more quota places for the upcoming Paralympic Games.
Iran NPC, Tehran- 93 days ahead of the 17th Paralympic Games, Team Iran have secured 43 tickets Paris 2024.
Achieving two golds at the 2024 Kobe Para Athletic World Championships, Amirhossein Alipour (in men's Shot Put F11) and Hajar Safarzadeh (in women’s 400m T12) have also added two more Paris spots for the country.
Iranian Para athletes have already secured a total of 43 quota places (28 men & 15 women) across the eight sports, including Para Athletic, Para Archery, Para Shooting, Para Taekwondo, Para Canoe, Para Swimming and the two men’s national teams of Sitting Volleyball and Goalball.
Team Iran’s Para Athletics concluded with 14 medals in total at the nine-day 2024 World Para Athletics Championships, held in Kobe, Japan. The events came to an end Saturday, on 25 May.
