Iran’s Amirhossein Alipour and Mahdi Olad earned a gold and a silver medal respectively in the Men's Shot Put - F11 final of the 2024 Paralympic Games on Monday.
The 2024 World title holder Alipour topped the podium with a throw of 14.78 meters and Tokyo Paralympic champion Olad came second with 13.89 meters.
The bronze medal went to Spanish athlete Alvaro del Amo Cano with 13.38 meters.
Iran has sent 65 athletes in 10 sports to the Games.
