Jon Amos, the Chair of IPC Powerlifting Technical Committee in his meeting with I.R. Iran NPC President referred to Powerlifting Sport in Iran being in the right path for development.
In conjunction with I.R. Iran Powerlifting National Championships in Tehran, he met Mr. Khosravi Vafa and Mr. Mandegarfard (NPC Secretary General) to get more familiar with Iranian initiatives for Para sports development in Iran.
Mr. Khosravi Vafa referred to the National Paralympic Day initiative having the IPC acknowledgement and recognition.
Mr. Amos recognized Iranian side to keep competition competency at the right level and underscored Iranian powerlifting should not stop its progress at this point; this is alpha; a lot of missions waiting to be done.
Mr. Khosravi Vafa in the session added: "Iran expresses its readiness to contribute to the Paralympic sport development and even in the Global level; especially to countries such as Nepal, Yemen which severely affected by nature disaster and war; in this field, we sent the letter to Nepali NPC to help their athletes to hold training camps, etc."
