Team Iran’s youth players are to follow the last preparations for the Men’s U23 Asia Oceania Championship.


Iran NPC, Tehran:

Iranian junior men’s Wheelchair Basketball team will join the fourth national training camp in Tehran, from November 3rd.

A total of 12 men's players will train with head coach Behrouz Soltani, assisted by the national coaches Adel Torfi and Gholamreza Nami. Mahdi Shokravi will also accompany the team as S & C coach.

The shortlisted players for the camp are as follows:

Amir Mohammad Keleydari, Foad Mozaffari Afkham, Elyas Morteza Moghadam, Mohammad Taha Yarmohammadi, Amir Mahdi Yousefi, Abolfazl Jalaei, Heydarali Vaez, Amirhossein Baba, Abolfazl Kouhpeyma, Abolfazl Vadiei, Reza Niksirat, Yasin Aghili.

Staged by IRI Sports Federation for the Enabled in partnership with National Paralympic Committee of Iran, the camp aims at preparation of the junior men for the upcoming Asia Oceania Championship in Bangkok. 

The camp will be concluded on 13 November.

The IWBF Men’s U23 Asia Oceania Championship will be held in Bangkok, Thailand from November 16 to 23, 2024. The event will bring together seven nations—Australia, India, Iran, Japan, Saudi Arabia, the Philippines, and Thailand—to compete for the coveted title and a spot in the 2025 IWBF Men’s U23 World Championship.
