Iran NPC, Tehran:
Following the
inclusion of new Sport disciplines to Iran Paralympic sports program, the National
Paralympic Committee's officials and the IRI Mountaineering & Sport
Climbing Federation President Reza Zare'ei held a joint meeting.
Iran NPC Women's
Vice-President Dr. Maryam Kazemipour along with the NPC's acting CEO Aliasghar
Hassanzadeh and Sport Deputy Dr. Saeid Solgi was also involved the meeting.
The inclusion of
Para climbing, accessibility, providing the equipment, talent identification,
holding the national competitions and some other related issues were discussed at
the meeting, held in Iran NPC headquarters in Tehran.
Concluding the
meeting, Esmat Ganjalipour was introduced as the head of the Para Climbing Committee
in the IRI Mountaineering & Sport Climbing Federation.
Iran National Paralympic Committee
(NPC) Governing Board has recently approved a proposal from four national
Federations to include Para climbing, Wheelchair Fencing, Para Rowing and Para
Equestrian into its sports program for the 2026 Asian Para Games and 2028
Paralympic Games.
