Iranian Sadegh Beit Sayah's Apology Statement to World Para Athletics

Iran's Javelin thrower apologizes for his unsportive behavior at Paris 2024 Paralympics.

 Iran NPC, Tehran:

Iran's Javelin thrower Sadegh Beit Sayah apologizes for breaching the rule at Paris 2024 Paralympics.
Sadegh Beit Sayah was stripped of his gold medal just before the medal ceremony. He, who had set a new world record in the men's F41 javelin throw and won the title, saw his victory marred after being disqualified for committing two serious infractions.

Iran National Paralympic Committee emphasizes the spirit governing Paralympism and also is committing to promoting good sporting values and IPC Games rules & regulations.


Here is the apology statement by Iran's Sadegh Beit Sayah:

 Dear Paul Fitzgerald,

Honored Head of World Para Athletics

According to the Federation letter; I by the name of Sadegh Beit Sayah, holder of 2014  Incheon Asian Para Games gold medal, Hangzhou 2022 Asian Para Games silver medal, Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games silver medal, Paris 2023 World Para Athletics Championships silver medal and same at Kobe 2024 World Para Athletics Championships, hereby publicize my sincere apology for the non-compliance of Para Athletics rules and regulations in Paris 2024 Paralympic Games Men's Javelin final event which happened due to lack of emotional control and also too much excitement at the moment of world record setting and getting first rank in the Games and I undertake by fully compliance of the rules not repeating such a behavior in the future.
