Dr. Ghafoor Karegary, President of the National Paralympic Committee (NPC), hosted a meeting at the NPC headquarters in Tehran (Dec. 22) to honor the efforts and contributions of the female staff on the occasion of National Women’s Day and Mother’s Day in Iran. The event coincided with the birth anniversary of Lady Fatimah Zahra, a revered figure in Islam.
During the meeting, Dr. Karegary expressed his deep appreciation for the dedication and resilience of the female staff, both in their professional roles and personal lives. He emphasized the esteemed position of women in Islam and their pivotal role in society as mothers, wives, and professionals.
“Our female colleagues in the Paralympic Family not only excel at work and in sports but also exemplify the values of modern Iranian women, balancing their roles as caregivers to older generations and nurturers of the next," Dr. Karegary said.
Representatives of the female staff thanked the president and other officials for their ongoing support and efforts to address challenges and foster the growth of the Paralympic Movement in Iran.
The event concluded with a friendly discussion between the president and the female staff, followed by the presentation of gifts as a token of appreciation.
