Iran National
Paralympic Committee (NPC) President Dr. Ghafoor Karegary has congratulated the
newly elected members of the NPC's Athletes' Commission (AC) for the 2025–2029
term.
Following the
announcement of the election results, Dr. Karegary extended his gratitude to
the outgoing Chair, Zahra Nemati, for her significant contributions to the
Athletes' Commission over the past four years. He also expressed his optimism
about the future of the Commission and the elected members’ role in advancing
the Paralympic Movement.
President
Karegary stated:
"On behalf
of the NPC, I would like to extend our congratulations to the eleven athletes
that have been elected to the Athletes' Commission for 2025–2029. I am
confident that these elected members, both returning and newly elected, will
apply their passion for improving the Paralympic Movement and their commitment
to amplifying athlete voices to ensure Iran NPC remains focused on being athlete centered. I look forward to getting to know the new members and to
continuing our collaborative work with the Athletes' Commission."
The Iran NPC
announced the Athletes' Commission election results on Saturday, January 25,
marking a new chapter for the organization as it continues its efforts to
empower athletes and foster inclusivity within the Paralympic community.
