Iran Para Armwrestling Stars Gear Up Training for 2025 Asian Youth Games

Iran’s young female para armwrestlers will train in Tehran from February 8 to 15, preparing for their historic debut at the 2025 Asian Youth Para Games.

Iran's young female para armwrestlers are set to begin their second intensive training camp in Tehran, as they prepare to make history at the 5th Asian Youth Para Games 2025.

Organized by the Iran Sports Federation for the Disabled and the National Paralympic Committee of Iran, the camp will run from February 8 to February 15. The goal is to refine the skills of elite athletes and finalize selections for the national para armwrestling team.

The promising lineup of invited athletes includes Tara Fattahian, Negin Aliabadi, Reyhaneh Rousta, Narges Ayoozi, Shima Dadkhah, Atiyeh Shams, Mahla Moodanlou, Mona Ammarloei, and Asal Mobini-Far. These athletes will train under the expert guidance of national coaches Mahrokh-Sadat Ahmadpanah and Homeira Shahian-Yar.

With para armwrestling officially included in the Asian Youth Para Games for the first time in 2025, this marks a historic milestone for Iranian female para athletes. The training camp in Tehran is a crucial step in ensuring they are well-prepared to compete at the highest level and make a strong impact on the international stage.
