Iran NPC and Exceptional Education Organization Strengthen Cooperation

A joint meeting between the National Paralympic Committee (NPC) of Iran and the IRI Exceptional Education Organization was held today, at the NPC headquarters, for Development of Para Sports in Iran.

The National Paralympic Committee (NPC) of Iran and the Exceptional EducationOrganization recently held a joint meeting to explore ways to enhance cooperation in promoting sports for individuals with disabilities. The discussion focused on expanding opportunities for students with disabilities to participate in organized sports and physical activities.

 

Commitment to Inclusive Sports Development

During the meeting, NPC President Dr. Ghafoor Karegary highlighted the importance of integrating sports into the education system for students with disabilities.

> “Sports play a crucial role in the physical and mental well-being of individuals with disabilities. Strengthening our collaboration will help provide better opportunities for students to engage in sports and develop their potential,” he stated.

Dr. Salar Ghasemi, IRI Deputy Minister of Education and the head of the Exceptional Education Organization emphasized the transformative impact of sports on students with disabilities. He expressed optimism about future collaborations, stating that sports can foster confidence, social inclusion, and overall development for young athletes.

Key Areas of Discussion

The meeting covered several important topics, including:

Increasing access to sports facilities for students with disabilities

Developing structured sports programs tailored to special needs education

Enhancing collaboration between educators, coaches, and Paralympic experts

Creating more competitive opportunities for student-athletes with disabilities

Although no formal agreements were signed, both organizations reaffirmed their commitment to continued discussions and future initiatives aimed at strengthening disability sports in Iran.
